Pay Range : $10-$15/hr

Experience : None required, 1 year preferred

Reports to : Concrete Foreman

Job Description

Assist with installing formwork and placing& finishing concrete to build footings, floors, walls, columns, beams and sidewalks.
Assist with layout work
Assist with excavating footings by machine and by shovel
Load or unload construction materials
Grade the base material as needed, install moisture barrier and wire mesh
Place rebar and post-tensioning systems
Common tools used are joiners, edging tools, saws, concrete rakes and trowels
Applying sealing and hardening components
Perform site clean-up
Complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent
Working conditions include digging with shovels, spreading concrete with rakes, lifting and placing heavy materials, working at height, starting at early hours and working outdoors
