Pay Range : $17-$20/hr

Experience : 2 years minimum

Reports to : Masonry Foreman

Job Description

Use concrete blocks, bricks, and stones to build walls, facades, fireplaces, chimneys and other structures
Assist in reading and interpreting plans and drawings as they pertain to masonry work
Move and stock materials
Use mixer to make mortar
Erect and use scaffolding correctly
Measure and cut stone, brick and block according to specifications
Lay the block, brick or stone using the proper pattern, such as running bond or stack bond
Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance and/or deficiencies
Perform site clean-up
Complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent
Working conditions include lifting and placing heavy material such as blocks that weigh more than 40 lbs., working at height, and working outdoors
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch
