Job Description

  • Ensuring jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
  • Maintaining construction schedules and crews
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to determine construction requirements in order to plan procedures
  • Obtain all necessary shop drawings and rough openings from the builder before starting work
  • Layout work using string lines, chalk lines, tapes and levels to ensure the crew can do the work correctly and efficiently
  • Review takeoffs and order materials
  • Ensure all layout is complete and material and equipment is on site before the crew arrives
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of construction workers
  • Estimate material or worker requirements to complete extra work orders
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met
  • Manage all equipment on site
  • Work with contractors to resolve issues and to coordinate activities
  • Maintain customer relations
